rusty 280z tank

so i cleaned the tank once and it got rust again because i didnt coat it. i dont know what to coat it with. I dont want to buy anything online, so i found this stuff at the store does anyone know if it works? its called por 15 protective coating, also will it clog where the fuel goes out of the tank i heard there is a liner.

I think your concern about clogging the fuel ports with this product is valid, but ... I'm no expert here. The POR-15 product gets high marks for preventing rust on car bodies but I don't think it's appropriate for a fuel tank.

I've read about other products you can use that are made specifically for fuel tanks but don't have any direct experience.

Keep searching the web, heck, even the folks who make the POR-15 might have something more appropriate.

Tank kreem is a good product to use to prevent the rust from coming through the lines. I personally used muriatic acid and then prep all to prevent flash rust.
