i got an 04' 350z an was wondering is replaceing the clutch a big project. kinda wanted to do it myself but didnt know if i would be kinda getting in over my head.
You have to drop the drive-shaft, remove the center counsel in the car to disconnect a few things, remove the exhaust catalysts and cross-over pipe, a suspension cross-member, transmission mount, starter, multiple sensors, a wiring harness, and clutch slave cylinder.
Then remove the trans and change out the clutch and pressure plate. The manual calls for one special tool for removing a cross-member.
You could do it with the car on jack stands, but this is one job I would like a car hoist for. And get yourself either a trans jack or if your working low to the ground, one of those motorcycle jacks with the large parallel lifting pads. Dropping the transmission on yourself is a bad day........... ask me how I know.

Since you are going to try it, make sure someone is there with you............. On a garage floor, on jack stands, can be very dangerous for an amateur!!!!! Make sure you have the correct tools and safe lifting devices.
GOOD LUCK
