Just got an back from the dealer and he said that I will need new pads and rotors in front, $1500 ! They are Brembo, rotors were $1,100/pr. Seems high, what does every one recommend for aftermarket performance pads and rotors???

Shop online for the parts and do it yourself - 2 hour job max.

You can get cheap aftermarket Brembo replacement rotors locally. Try upgrading to better brake pads from Cobalt Friction (www.cobaltfriction.com) for a good combo and don't forget to bleed your brakes afterwards!

EBC always get good reviews...I use hawk HPS as do lots of people.

On the rotors, I would go with slotted

Get slotted rotors.

For pads, I always use either Axxis or Hawk. I really like the Axxis ceramics for daily driving, or Axxis Metal Masters for extreme driving.

NAPA ceramics are inexpensive and work great with no dust.

If you're at all inclined to be hard on the brakes, or go to track days, Cobalt Friction's XR2 pads are an excellent choice. We race 350Zs in SCCA National competition and the XR2 mounted in the Brembos have really given us an edge. High torque, good feel, wide temp range and easy on rotors. What more could you ask from a high-performance pad?

^^^
"High torque,..."

Wouldn't that almost be high "anti-torque"... since its the force OPPOSING rotation rather than producing it?

I on my second set of the Stillen slotted/vane (not cross drilled) rotors up front with the Hawk HPS pads on my 350z Track. I got 50k miles on the first set. It costs much less then the stock Brembo the Dealer (aka Stealer) is quoting you. Out the door for set of rotors and pads up front with installation is a little over $500.
