In the market to purchase rotors cross drilled and slotted..there are so many companies out there can anyone recommend which is the best quality to purchase them,,found out the low quality rotors wear out your brake pads very quick.

slots and holes in the rotor will always wear out your pads quicker. Slots act sorta like cheese slicers, taking a tiny bit off the pads every time they slide against each other.

Rotors are rotors - they are really nothing more than hunks of steel. Pads wear out rotors for the most part, not the other way around. Other than as phx said - slotted are graters, and that is regardless of price. And I suppose cheap cross drilled are more liable to crack under extreme conditions, although not in your average road driving, even spirited. Personally I think cross-drilled are more for looks than anything else, maybe they dissipate heat a bit better, as do slots.

i bought drilled/slottd rotors on ebay. couldn't tell you the brand name, but they worked just fine and look way cooler than non drilled/slotted rotors.

The drilled holes do help dissipate heat, because they allow the rotors to pull air in through the holes and spit it out at the edge where the vent channels are.

Overall, I would prefer slotted only rotors, but I will take drilled or drilled and slotted over blanks anyday.

I bought mine from conceptzperformance.com and had no issues. I have no idea what brand they were.

I wanted to put a BBK on the Zee but couldn't justify spending 4K or more for a full front and rear kit. So, I went with replacement rotors and pads. The rotors are drilled/slotted from Centric and the pads are Centric Ceramic pads. I'm told that Centric is the company that also provides rotors for Powerslot and Stop Tech. I got the four rotors and pads from 88Rotors here in So Cal. Here's their link and also a link for centric:

Give these boys a shout at 88 rotors, they gave me a great deal and also did the install in just over an hour while I waited.

bbk/brembo = waste of money unless your on the track. i'd go with the ebay ones if your gonna buy them. although brembos looks awesome, it's kinda like buying a rolex instead of the dakota from wal-mart. they do they same thing but one's prettier than the other.

i've been in the auto industry my whole career and have seen both good and bad things happen to both quality rotors. an uneducated driver is gonna be the downfall of a set of rotors whether you pay $150 off ebay or $2000 from brembo.

now if someone's living on the track every weekend, i retract my statement about brembos lol!

Anybody remember those heatsinks somebody made once for Z32 calipers that cooled down the pads? I remember reading that they actually worked quite well, and then never heard anything about them ever again...
