So I was watching tv and I noticed that John from John and Kate plus 8 has a sweet Nismo. It is not to say that a Z is a family car. But good for him, sometimes you got to get something for yourself. I am sure he has a spare mini van.

The knowledge that that child-exploiting moron has a Z almost makes me want to sell mine (I did say "almost").

For the better of the order, maybe someone could talk him into a nice Boxter....

how else are they going to make enough money to take care of all those kids and get to spend time with them? i don't see it as exploiting. i would do it if i were them.

The pragamatist in me says you're correct as far as how to afford the cost of those kids. Better the advertisers for the show pay than we the taxpayers, right?

However, on the news this morning I saw where some other couple in California are getting their show now. She's blond, he's dark-haired, 6 kids. Um, format sound familiar? And then there's the Octo-mom saga.

This stuff perpetuates itself, and we all become lesser for it as a society, IMHO. And no, I'm not some "God'n'Guns" kook. Just believe in a lost concept called personal responsibility. If you can't afford eight kids on your take home pay, then don't have that many.

As for the kids, I'm guessing in a few years we're going to have a bunch of little Lindsey Lohans and Todd Bridges running around trying to figure out where their childhoods went.....

But, hey, at least mom got the Big House in Berks County, PA and dad's tooling around in a Nismo Z. Guess you're right. It's all good.

i think it could only help them be better parents to have the world watching and criticizing their every move.

p.s. why did you capitalize Big House? are you talking about prison?

Dude, I'm not a hater. If an athlete has skills that land him a huge contract, or somebody invents a newer, better mousetrap, god bless'em. But people who are celebraties because.....well, we're all bored with our lives and we want to watch their's? Sorry, that carries absolutely no resonance with me whatsoever.

As for Big House being in caps, my bad. No, it's $1 million+ estate north of here in Berks County, outside of Reading. Great article in the Lancaster newspaper last Sunday. The folks in their old neighborhood in Mt. Joy are as open-minded as you are. Guess they must be haters, too?

Reminds me of that other super-sized family that made their house into a church so they could claim tax-exempt status and have their kids be "employed". The tithes go to their luxurious house and they essentially live in luxury and never really work. All because they abused the credits for having 15+ kids and the church tax exemption. Shame.

There shouldn't be any exemption for kids or religious status - none. If you want them, you pay for them.

there are plenty of women who have as many kids as they can so they can claim more welfare. that's been happening for way longer than reality shows have existed.
