new wheel size
Posted by: deeozee

I am finally going to get new shoes for my 2005 touring Z. The stock wheels are 18 x 8.0 with staggered tires 225/40r18 and 235/40r18 rear. Has anyone switched the rim size to the staggered rim ie 18 x 8 and 18 x 19.5, or have you replaced your stock wheels with the same size rims?

Any thoughts or experience?
Thanks.

Go wider man, buying stock wheels in the same diameter and demensions is some-what redundant... unless you are just going for looks.

You have a lot of room to go larger. The stock "Track" 350Z
comes with an 18 X 9 front and 19 X 10 stagger with 245/40-18 tires front
and 265/35-19 in the rear. My track tires are 255 up front and 275 in the back.
Of course, by now, you've probably already gotten your new tires . . .
