Anyone definitively diagnosed oil consumption issues?
Posted by: Z1 ZONLY

Seems to be a problem that's plagued Nissan for some time now. I bought an '05 VK45 last year from a dealer for $100. It was also "using oil." Anyone know the actual issue yet?

Nissan has beenv ery tight lipped. Main theory out there is someting to do with the variable exhaust timeing that was added in the 06 revup engine. This assumes that your 05 engine was from a manual tranny Track model or AE model only. Your engine should have a 7K redline, not 6500.
