What's the complete firewall VIN on this chassis?
Just like Cobra kit cars in the US there are a bunch of 432 posers in Japan.
BTW: Many 432's were used as police cars in the day so a careful scrutiny of the car would be in order.
Price is too low for a 432.
I'd need to see a heluva lot more photos, including one of the VIN.
One very close up, clear shot of the VIN.
I might go so far as to say I want an open-source radiographic survey of the firewall in the VIN area done before bidding on this one!
Having all the bits is nice...but having the real thing is more than having all the bits.
Curiously, I was offered a 432 in trade for my 240Z (The Shark Car) in 1989 before I rotated from Japan. If I'd not already filled out the shipping documents in triplicate for my car, I'd have done it!
So close, and yet so far. At that time, they were only about $10K-$20K

The idea of a replica {cheats} car did cross my mind before. So I have asked the seller for vin and more photos with no response yet.
Understand Iam not interested in buying the car but just can't believe this one is in OZ............yahoo.actually I wouldn't mind seeing it in person and hearing it run.
Nothing like having TWINS UNDERNEATH AND TRIPLES SCREAMING UNDER fullLOAD :0

Only two Z432s were ever used as police cars. I would not call that 'many'...
This eBay listing has been discussed on at least three other z-related forums in the past week or two. It's just a picture of a car going through an auction in Japan, and the e-Bay 'seller' in Australia does not own it or have the right to sell it. It's just a piece of bait to get the interest of gullible people who might spend their money with him, saying "...get me one like that...".
If anyone believes that they can get a half-decent and genuine PS30 for the price this guy is quoting ( and that the head of the S20 engine was designed by Yamaha ), then they probably deserve to find out the truth the hard way.

Then buy a TBO manifold for an RB20, get some HKS Sports Cams, and do a conversion.
Engine is plentiful, cheap, and durable. FAR more practical than an S20 if you want a small-bore six and carbs under the hood.
Personally, I'd take the RB30 with the RB25 head conversion suitably N/A'd...though the sound would be slightly different, the power and torque would be compensation enough for lack of the raspy pop of a 2L.

I know the current owner. Most people who have a 432 know the other owners, or at least are intimate with the shop where they are serviced. It's a small group of people that are owners of original 432's.
The guy that offered it to me still owns it. Recently I got a number to a mutual friend after being out of touch for 20+ years. When I called, the topic of the 432, and it's disposition came up. It always does.
The mutual acquaintance? He's the one that bought it from the original owner in 1978 and moved it down to Okinawa. I would have been the 5th owner, and aside from the original owner in Mainland Japan, I have met and hung around with the other 3 owners.
It's how the sale of these cars go....when original. Though the online auction world may be changing that somewhat...I doubt it. And Alan's post above kind of confirms it!

Well their you go with an End to this auction.
Hey Tony have you got any oldschool photos of the 432's ????
cheers
I got photos of the car that was offered as a trade for my 240, matter of fact.
All Ektrachrome, Kodachrome, and C41 Negatives or prints in color or B&W. I used to trot them out for MSA each year and let the albums lay on my shark car's whale tail for people to look at...
Maybe I'll bring them to JCCS this year, if I'm in town.

Hmm... reminds me of my fairlady.. wasn't a 432 or anything, sure was fast though.. I've never seen the same wheels on any other z.. I'm pretty sure they were stock. They were gold spoke with chrome outer ring. Wish I could find a pic of the same kind of wheels.. I'd love to have a set. They looked like the 'fat spoke' wheels you see on some z's.. with maybe twice the spokes. I seem to remember the guy saying they were nakamichi wheels but can't find any pics.
