As some of you know my wife has taken ill and each day gets a little tougher. Her cancer is a rapid growing one that has taken all her energy.
So yesterday I took some time and worked on my zx in the driveway for half a day. I replaced the fuel pump, damper, and did some general cleanup. When I was done I came in the house and she asked me all about the zx and actually seemed interested when I went into detail.(She really doesn't care about my zx) With her feeling this bad and taking an interest in my project because she knows it means alot to me is great. She truly is a wonderful wife. Today i'm doing what ever she wants to do. We may go out to the park for a short time if she's up for it. She has mentioned going there a few times this past 2 weeks but has not felt up to it. It would be the first outing since her hair left.
Heres wishing each and everyone out there that took the time to read this long post the absolutly best saturday ever.Give your wifes or girlfriends an extra hug today and let her wonder why!

Where are the old guys?
Sometimes you don't miss them until they're gone!
Nobody to whine and cry to-
I kept telling you not to poke the bear
Better get an FSM, learn how to read it and keep it handy children...
I agree with zhead, you are fortunate to have each other. I hope her condition improves and that she feels well enough to enjoy some time outdoors. You both sound like wonderful caring people and deserve a little fun time together. Hang in there and know that we're all pulling for your wife to improve soon.
Our thoughts are with you and your wife. I couldn't imagine my wife getting cancer...it must be incredible hard. We wish a speedy recovery for her and all the best to you and the rest of your family.

My wife lingered for eleven of the worst and very best years of our lives. As she required 24/7 care and nurses cost $50,000 a year per shift and the best job I was offered was less than $40,000, I took care of her full time living off a small Navy retirement. I wouldn't trade those eleven years for anything.
You and your wife have my prayers, every day. Be strong for her.

You two are displaying qualities that are truly amazing -- you're each more concerned and interested in what the other is going through or doing than what you each are going through. That's something very, very special.
Respect and kudos to you both.
I have only had the good fortune of being married to a wonderful woman for nearly 3 years now. I keep telling her how lucky I am to which she reminds me that I am stuck with her.
Plus she supports my hobbies and interests (Z's, rendezvous, and tractors) and I support hers (horses and dogs).
Knowing how to live "right" is one thing. Living right speaks volumes.
I had a friend who was going through some difficulties with his spouse. He vented to me, which was fine, that's what friends are for. Getting it off your chest. After relating to me a laundry list of issues, he turned to me and said: "I didn't sign up for this."
