This happened Saturday afternoon after a Z-Event in L.A. The truck you see behind the 1970 240Z came from the right of the photograph frame at 50 mph and took the Z in the RF Corner while it was making a left turn. Bystander commentary annotated at the below link:

Wow, One less first gen Z out there now. He was very luckey he was hit in the right front instead of a direct T-bone on the passenger door. Seat belts do save lives, a "broken clavicle" is minor compared to what it would have been if he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. At least he's alive so he can sue the Sh#T out of the truck driver. I hope he get's enough to buy a couple of Z's

That sucks! I hope the z driver is alright. And yes i always wear my seatbelts. Its almost a phobia with me to put the seatbelt on before i start the car.

Good to hear the driver is OK. Sucks about the Z. However it is interesting to note that no major cabin intrusion has occurred as a result of this impact. The bright side of things for the rest of us Z car drivers so to speak.

Dude, that car is beyond economical repair even in SoCal!

Scrap Yard? It's in my back yard right now, if that's any indication. Eventually it will end up scrapped I suppose. But right now he's recovering.

We can figure out what to do with it later, when he's feeling better. And after his wife has the kid next month!

This came,IMO, at a bad time for him. I would not like to get a call when I was 8 months pregnant.

Though, on the upside, he's probably going to be home for a couple of weeks---which means he probably will have plenty of bonding time with Junior!
