First off, r e m e m b e r safety, stand IN the engine bay, so in case it falls you won't get crushed. Not saying that some injury will occure such as scrapes and lacerations, but that's what the first aid kit is for. HPIM1952.JPG

Just curious, what did you use to jack it up?

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a puke-free New Year!

Why don't you just put it on those jackstands you have sitting back there by the fence?

I'm just a big strong guy, NOT, engine hoist, see it in the back, now dragging the car back about 10 feet so I can get the 2+2 in the hole. I call it the Z's last resting place. They are still loved here until they go to the great scrap yard in the sky.HPIM1957.JPG and how hi do you think those jack stands go. Red, don't worry I won't let you get hurt.

But those jack stands were all the way back there by the fence. The lumber was right up near the front of the car. Hence, lumber lift.

HAHA That is awesome!

When I had to move an old 280zx shell around my driveway I attached the the engine hoist to a chain wrapped around the bar in between the T-Tops and lifted it up. It balanced quite well and the 1 ton engine hoist on the 1/4 ton setting lifted it.

It wasn't that high or dangerous... :D

I never used 2x4s or 4x4s as supports I prefer cinder blocks lol

Those pianos come in handy, that's what's holding it up, solid birch wood. The wires come in handy for removing windshields, and all the small blocks of wood I use for various things. The heavy backing go to the scrap yard and bring me cash. (old pianos are free) and the copper wire also brings some cash. There is 5 pianos back there, 3 are down to just the backings, then I have 2 whole pianos still in the garage, but the baby grand is a keeper. I would of turned it over, but not enough room. Someone should have saved the T-top roof and cut it off, you never know, I saved one 78 280 roof, because you never know. Someone who can do body work might want to install T-tops, or someone with a sunroof in there nice almost original Z might need a roof, who knows.

HaHa, funny. Now guys, don't believe everything you see or hear. I DID NOT, pull the tranni. out this way. I dropped it to the ground, removed trani. crossmember bolts, then lifted car up and used my hook to grab it. I'm shure my 9 lives have all been used up by now, so I don't take to many chances. I work to hard, have to have fun once in awile.
