I think if anyone should apply for and get the Nissan Motorsport Magazine 280zx rebuild, it should be you. You've got a flair for this that few of us can even think up in our heads, let alone have the gumption or ability to pull together.

the windshield was the last thing to install today. the car is completely assembled and off to a car show here in town tomorrow.

What did you coat that with? It looks like that coating they use in trunks in older hot rods and muscle cars. I forget what it's called but that grey paint with the colored speckles in it.

the coating is called Zolatone. it originally was sprayed in splatter paint for trunks. recently the company has added over 30 color choices and they have their own heavy duty clear coat that makes it almost indistructable after applied. wet cloth clean up. i sprayed it under my 72 show car almost 10 years ago and to this day it is like the day i sprayed it. not even a stone chip behind the front tires in the wheel wells...its great stuff
