RE: AVIATORX - GOT A QUESTIONS FOR YOU.
Posted by: Dennis78

I highly recommend getting a pilot's license. I have a couple of questions for you, though. Do you enjoy driving just for the sake of operating a fine piece of machinery? Do you think about the fuel igniting in the cylinders and turning the gears in your transmission as you cruise down the highway? If you're one of those types, I'm sure that you'll enjoy flying. If not, you may want to reconsider. You'll have to set aside about five grand (at least), and a few months to knock out all of the required stuff before you can actually get your license. Good luck with your decision,
Dennis

Man I'd just love to get my hands on a Pacer!
Date: July 04, 2000 07:50AM

Wow, I could own a part of automotive history! You know ,how many other cars came with a passenger door six inches longer than the driver's door!
And I mean ,with those body lines and all that glass it could double as a great greenhouse!
And best of all it is quite possibly the world's Ugliest car ever!
And if I ever got a Pacer I'd just have to get a Gremlin as well!!
AMC builds DREAM CARS!!

LOL LOL

Anyway, what Ive owned :

74 Opel Manta (I totaled it trying to lose a tailgater in a curve, It worked, I did lose the tailgater!! hehe)

74 Mazda RX-4 ( This was a fun car! It would run 120 mph easily and back in 1984 there were few cars on the road that would beat it!)

71 Ford Pinto( This was my first stick shift car and I learned how to do burnouts in it. The car would do an amazing 72 mph top speed down hill!! LOL I ended up wrecking it as well)

81 Olds Cutlass Supreme Diesel (Actually this car ran perfectly and got great fuel mileage)

78 Volvo 240(I hated this car even I did put about 70,000 miles on her)

72 Datsun 240Z( I was looking to buy an MG when I happened upon this little marvel of Japaneese engineering! I was hooked the minute I floored her. I bought her in 89 and when the rust got out of hand sold her in 93 to buy my current 71 240Z)

71 240Z (My dream car. When I bought her in 93 she had NO RUST! That was a dream of mine for over 4 years to actually find a Z car with no rust! Unfortunately 130,000 miles of street grime and snow has started a little rust here and there now)

Also I've had:

1988 VW Golf (YUCK)
1986 Toyota Supra(Way overrated)
1991 Honda CRX (Fun car ,wish I hadn't sold her)
1971 VW Bug(Really neat fun car)
1988 Ford T-Bird(still own)
1991 Nissan NX(still own)

My dream cars:
71 240Z with an intercooled twin turbocharged V8 with coil over suspension and huge discs at all 4 corners. Also would need leather interior and A/C!!!(no explanation needed..hehe)

71 Plymouth 426 Hemi Cuda(Big power and great looks)

Dodge Viper coupe(Looks like a Z but its faster)

Chrysler PT Cruiser(Don't laugh, I've loved this thing since I first saw it in a magazine 2 years ago and its probably the only car on this list that I have a chance of ever owning)

That three seater McClaren supercar

And last of all, that Pacer and Gemlin! hehe (j/k)

later,norm

talk about a dream car, I am not sure it this one really exists or not. when I was a kid I heard about something called a Cheetah. All I know is it looked like an exaggerated XKE. I have searched the internet and I have seen this car as a slot racer on eBay. Does anyone know if it ever really existed full scale?

I also used to love the old Anglia, most often seen on drag strips back in the 60's.
