ok so my z was once in an accident and the antenna is broken...i don't care too much so i didn't fix the antenna but it is now continuously making the winding sound for when it's supposed to reel in the antenna(it is not connected so it can't reel it in) when i turn the car off and now it won't shut off! I don't want my battery or alternator to die again what should i do?

If you don't care about the antenna, just unplug it.

Yep - easy to do, need to get behind the hatch interior trim panel to access the plug...

That however is not easy to do. Ok pretty easy jsut time consuming.

I guess easy is a relative term? I have a 2+2 so even more stuff to pull apart than with a coupe....;-)

Thanks for the tip, I unplugged it and then decided to remove the whole unit. Wasn't too difficult...besides bolts just one wire disconnected and a vacuum hose thingy that I had to rip off the antenna motor. Got a lighter Z now haha...

You also now have a hole for rain to come into your trunk area. That "vacuum" hose was the water drain line.
