Thrust bearing?

Well guys I'm still facing the problems with my flexplate issue.Ive been calling many shops to figure out a diagnosis and they came up with a thrust bearing possibly. I searched for it but found little info.Where is this part located? Do you think it could cause this problem and how do I check for crankshaft endplay?

The trust bearing in the engine is part of one of the main bearings. I don't feel that would be your problem. It is possible one of the trust bearings in the trans are worn. That would cause improper load on the flexplate (although I would also expect a vibration).

To check end-play look at the FSM under engine mechanical.

Tranny was checked and is all good, but I was reading a post on here from a while back and they were sayin to much crank play can cause it. Which main bearing is the thrust bearing

The rear main is the thrust bearing. It's the one closest to the flexplate/flywheel. You need a dial gauge on a magnetic stand to verify crankshaft endplay.

So how likely does a thrust bearing sound?
