Fuel Gauge not working

Hey guys, my 84 300zx turbo's fuel gauge is not working. It doesn't light up. What could this be? Any ideas how I can fix this?

Defective fuel level sensor. Replace it.

but if that were the case, wouldn't the fuel gauge at least light up?

like it seems like its not getting power or something

You should have mentioned you had a digital dash. I should not have had to think about it.

Repair the power supply, use the search engine.

Ok I searched for it in the search engine on here but had no luck =\

does anyone have a link or can tell me how I can "repair the power supply?"
