rpm's wont go above 2100

would a bad Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor cause the same problem as a def maf. i ran codes and got a def chts, and not a def mas.

download the FSM for free from any of a number of sites. Search, google is your friend. Saying you don't have the FSM is no excuse when its readily available all over the net.

CHTS 99% of the time does not cause this. Extremely misleading and annoying. Check the wires going to the MAF, then replace with a good known one.

so today i go to run the codes again , but 1st i try to see if the problem still exists, lo and behold all is well , codes 23 a/c and 31 ing switch.but the car runs like a bat out of hell and rips threw all gears up to 85 mph .wtf no more 2100k and out! any sugg3estions are greatly app

sorry , let me try to restate. yesterday i ran the codes in the morning and i had a no chts code ,just a 23 code -a/c, and 31 code ing switch . the rpms did not stop at 2100 andthe car ran great. is it possible that maf has a swinging trouble, iam @ aloss on which way to goand looking for some guidance. thanks

It could be bad wiring, corrosion at the AFM harness connection, or an intake leak.
