I have a 75 280z that was my second car. I got it when I was 17 and drove the heck out of it after a quick summer restore/paint. I didn't go anywhere under 80mph or without sliding around corners. All of this ended when I slammed into 2 deer going 80mph.... I cannot find my wrecked car photos but I do have a 2 from 1999 soon after the new paint. After i hit the deer I then parked it until about a year ago and I started going back and really restoring it. I have used my 75, a 76, a 77, and a 78 to get this car this far. Next I will be dropping in an 82 turbo engine to try to keep up with my brother's super sharp v8 Z (see bottom). We have had 5 parts cars in order to get 2 good ones. Gotta love heartland rust buckets.

What a great story. I enjoy stories like yours with history and old pictures. Sounds like you really enjoyed driving your Z and it looks like you will enjoy driving it again soon.
