My '78 280Z

This is my newly acquired ride. She's all stock with only 16,900 original miles on her engine. She's fun to drive and still has the factory stamp on the bottom of the front bumper!!

I think it was fate.... This car had been for sale for a month before I found it. I still don't know why someone else didn't pick it up except that my Mom had passed away 3 yrs prior (to the day) and knew I was looking to restore my old one with 312,000 miles on her. It would have been a lot on $$$ and a long time to do it. I truly believe it was 'meant to be'..... No one can explain this one either. Now I have to give up the 'old' one and let someone else make a project of her...but she's worth it!! Yes, I do believe in .... "Things happen for a reason"..... and I'm a real happy camper!!!

Let's put it this way... I could have put the same amount of money I paid for this one into my old one and barely made it past a good paint job! Sure saved me a lot of money..... Somehow I couldn't resist this wonderful car.

The car placed 2nd in her class (stock) in the ZONC sponsored show at the Blackhawk Auto Museum last weekend. Just took it to Southern Cal on a good run and she ran great but still feels like she needs to be broken in.

What a FUN ride!!

That's too much car for you. Tell you what. I'll give you fifty bucks and throw in a day at the spa just because I'm nice. Doesn't that sound like a good deal?

Now honestly, I'm sitting up here with a big grin on my face. What a fantastic find! And with you being already hooked and from your posts, not scared to work on them, I think Baby Blue found a good little mama of her own. Congrats!

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a puke-free New Year!

Actually found her in Santa Cruz, CA..... She had been in a garage and her owners had a fire at the house and decided against having her stored for 6 mos while their home was being repaired. (Can you see the smile on my face yet?).... She's got a great home now and lots of attention..... :)
