I always liked white and never like the lower cowling on Z's. Real cool. Looks comfy. Awww new paint jobs. I never figured out anything good to serve as door protectors on mine, so I can't leave it anywhere! What kind of mirrors do you have?

Thanks. They are Mazda RX7 mirrors. Not sure from what year. She sits in the garage with a cover over her. Best I can do to keep the kids from dinging it.

I like the color combo and the interior looks awesome!

Where are you in NC? I made it over from middle Tn last year to the Charlotte Z show and it was a real treat.

Don't know what age your kids are but both of my sons fell in love with the Z's just like I did and they take better care of them than I do.

Take those kids for rides and let the next generation carry the Z torch.

Something about these old cars that seem to appeal to everyone. Plus, it is some of the best father/son/daughter bonding time you will ever get.

Again, congrats on the nice Z. Hope to see ya around at some shows this year.

Wise words from TonyD to consider PRIOR to starting you 1st gen Z project:

"If you think of putting time and money into an old Z is an 'investment' you are sorely mistaken. It is a hole suspended in mid air by four rubber donuts---donuts which you can not eat. Into this hole you throw shovel fulls of money, and it dissapears. You will never see it back."

Thanks. South of Raleigh. I bought the car from a guy in White House TN last year. When is the next show in Charlotte? Yes, the kids always want to go for a ride, almost more than I want to go for a ride.

I got my 280Z project car from Statesville NC about 4 years ago and I lived in Rocky Mount NC from 1991-1995. We love that area and still head out to the outer banks when we get a chance.

There are two Z clubs in NC. The Carolina Z club is in Charlotte and the Triangle Z club is in your part of the state.

Check their websites for car show info. I think the Charlotte show is usually in July or August. They put on a great event last year.

There are far more than two!

Super-clean ride GottagetaZ. Love the white--it's different! Hope to see you at any of the Carolina Z Club's events (ZDayZ?)

Thanks, Pics always look nicer than reality. I've got some work to do to her. I hope to go to at least one of them this year. Thanks again.

Greg,

The 2008 Carolina Z Club ZJAM is going to be September 6th as part of the Food Lion Auto Fair at Lowes Motor Speedway. There are 40 slots available for the Z cars since there are supposed to be a bunch different car clubs attending.
