It's free, you're lucky to get any carbs with it!

i'm not sure what carb's it has, the guy i'm getting it from said that there are some extra carb's that go with it.

long story short: the guy i'm getting it from told my mom that he was giving it away due to him not being able to afford insurance for it.

So far it's been raining cats and dogs all day but that wont stop me from picking her up :D. i was excited when my mom told me that she found me a free z car. When i found out that its a 4 speed and its a 1974 260Z (smog exempt in California) i felt like a little kid again

I used to work on these when they were BRAND NEW at Peter West Datsun in S.M., CA! Biggest recall then was the turn signal switch. It was made w/ too much lube inside and needed replacement. It would just stop blinking. Sure later the carbs were found to be lean and there was that extreme mod with fuel hose insulation and holes in the air-cleaner, but nowadays it can all be fixed superbly! Norm K.

haha one would be so lucky... I'm guessing "round top conversion in progress" or a line up of used candidates. Either way, I'd be psyched to get a free Z! I think the word giddy would almost be appropriate.

Caught somewhere between "all fun & games" and jail time.

My 260 that I bought sight unseen came with "extra carbs" as well. I knew it had three extras, so I was all excited that just maybe I'd hit the jackpot and find a set of triples. I am now the proud owner of five flat tops. Oh well. They were swapped for round tops and as was right with the world.

well it's taken a little bit longer than i would like to pick up that 260z, but im picking it up today at 2 pm. Ohh and this car is suppose to come with a set of extra wheels too. ill post another thread with some pics and some more details when i get back from picking her up =)=)
