Coil springs

I'm putting my 73 suspension back together and noticed the front right spring is longer than the left, with the driver on the left shouldn't the longer spring be on the left? Thanks for the input!

In the 1973 factory service manual it gives a free length of 373.5 mm for the left hand and 386 mm for the right hand.Right at about a half inch difference. I might guess maybe it's compensation for engine torque?
