what should the timing be set at on my 83 zx? looked in the fsm 3 times now, cant seem to find it. thanks. also, i couldnt see the marks on the balancer, so i just turned untill i got the best results, it only moved about 1/4" or so clockwise then stopped, but the car really likes it there, is there any problem with that? if not i will leave it there

It's in the FSM, but not where you'd expect. I recall seeing it at the end of one of the sections in those handy charts they have. Either under the section involving timing or in the general maintenance section, I don't recall.

But yes, it is 8deg +/-
