car = 1983 280ZXT

it has an exhaust leak on the # 6 cylinder by the manifold.

will this affect the cars performance since it is a Turbo?

I suppose if the leak was big enough it could cause a backfire in the exhaust on overrun.Your going to have to bite the bullet and change that gasket,no sense trying to rationalize not doing it.One thing I would do is put a straight edge on the mounting surface of the exhaust manifold and make sure it's flat or you will be doing it again.
