do u guys know what will happen when i install a 24Z <<< crank >>> into a 280ZXT engine ?
my car was lean so i did this funny swap and now i think it is ok , but what will happen next i have no idea ... will it be faster ? slower ? do u guys know how it will run now ?

I've never heard of that swap. Some guys use 240 rods in highly modified 280 blocks to make a 3.0l motor, but just the crank? I would not even try to start it until you find out if you are even close to having a working setup- your compression and valve-to-piston clearance could be way off and you might wreck your engine. Swapping engine components takes research before you do the swap.

A L24 crank in an L28 block makes a destroked L26 capacity engine. You LOOSE displacement, so you loose horsepower, and you loose torque. You get an engine that revs faster, slightly, and will breathe better than the origina configuration L26 due to the larger bore unshrouding the valves better, but you will have to rev the pi$$ out of it to get any power comparable to what you would get from the L28---which ultimately will make more simply because of a larger displacement

I liked it better when it was written that he changed the crank pulley to correct a lean fuel condition. But it is still entertaining that he took a proven combination, and after alot of work made it a poor performer by destroking it. All that work to correct a fuel ratio problem, definately a unique approach.
