no spark

New owner of a 71.5 240z. Car sat for a few years . Did all the necessary fluid changes and tune up stuff . Tried to start but can't get any spark ..added pertonix coil and igniter..still no spark. Car just turns over and no fire ... I'm in borne tx ..just northwest of san Antonio ..any help would be appreciated .

If you don't have a new battery on it, you need one. It'll turn over, but won't fire the plugs if it doesn't have 12 volts.

When you say "tune up stuff" what all did you do? Also get a volt meter and test to see if everything is giving a spark and make sure you put in new fuel and drop the old if you have not done that already, it has been stated many times fuel starts going bad as soon as 6 months.

New cap, rotor, plugs, pertonix igniter, coil, battery, and fuel, also using starting fluid to assist. Have 12.47 volts to coil when key is on ,it drops to about 8.47 when key is turned to crank.
