Digital Dash Harness Wires
Hey can anyone show me where each color wire goes into the 2 harnesses for the power supply for the digital dash. Mine is damaged and I can make a new one but i need to know which color wires go where, I can't tell from what I have left and the electrical diagrams in the FSM doesn't have the color codes to the harness.
It would suck to have to get a whole new digital dash just because the harness that comes off of it going to the power unit is smashed. I have some old computer parts and connectors for the power buttons and such to the Motherboard fit nice and snug on the dash power units' pins.
At the very least if someone could just take some nice pictures of their harness, showing me all the colors, that would be sufficient. I don't know if the wire color scheme differentiated over the years but I have an 84' 300zxT

In the EL (electrical) chapter, there's a legend showing for each wire color the corresponding color code. I've seen it somewhere. I think it's at the beginning of the chapter.
Everyone keeps telling me this but I can' see it.
I know the FSM has Color codes in general for the wires, I see that for all the harnesses that come off the dash cluster
EXCEPT THE ONES THAT CONNECT TO THE POWER SUPPLY.
I don't know if I just can't find it or what maybe my FSM is incomplete I dont know because there are some other parts in other sections that it seems someone scanned or didn't copy right.
The EL sections seems not to be missing anything.
I wish I could post my FSM but even just the EL section is too large for the forum, I could email to someone.
I think I downloaded it from car-fiche.com, it was some time ago however.
It might seem dumb but I need some help here.
How about this if someone has the FSM would it be possible to tell the page number (which I probably looked at) and area of the page (like middle, top left, bottom right, to left of whatever, etc) it's on.
I'm so amateur, but I try to do so much technical work on this car I wish I had a real FSM in my hands sometimes just to make sure the digital format one isn't the problem, because I know there ARE some parts of mine that it's clearly part of the page is missing, like a poorly scanned copy, words and pics/diagrams appearing partially. As cheap as I am I might buy the real thing.
try going to xenon and download that manual. On EL77 in the 85 manula is what I think might help you. You can't just go to the schematic in the z31 manual I have found out. they have multiple small schematics throughout the manual and you have to search through the stuff. Lots of times in the trouble shooting section for the unit you are researching.

Yes. The FSM does have color codes. Otherwise, the Nissan service techs would be more confused than you are.
