"The thing that bothers me the most is that inline six engine. I can't imagine why they would put that in a high performance car."
lol, GT-R?
lol i think this a promotional video that was used at nissan dealerships many years ago

LOL just read all the comments. Fun stuff
i know man they think that a stock vg30dett can only handle 437 whp on stock internals..freaking morons...
Nice, interesting video find man
ehh, the slalom shoot kind of reminds me of the videos Ford did of the Corvair losing control. Body roll can be induced by the driver.
A rep from Nissan USA was at a recent 2 club meeting to promote the NISMO 350Z. He recounted a lot of Z history and said that Nissan spent a lot of money to get the Z32 to market and never made it back ( I think he said $2 million) He also said that Toyota had a new supra in design and when they saw the Z32 they shelved it and went back to the drawing board.
It is no wonder that the Supra would be a good car when they had the z32 for a target for three years of design and testing.
My favorite comment, The z has been refined since 1970.... Yeah, not a whole lot of evolution going on past the Z30. I have had an S30 and a Z32 and I don't see much design similarity.
Hmm. I like to think this guy was objective--at least the tests were. Look, I love my Z's and always have loved them from the 70 models to the present (excluding the 1988 model), but to say the z32 is the best road passenger car ever is stretching it beyond belief. I had a 1999 996 that was superior to the z32 in every conceivable way imaginable. Yeah I know the 996 was 45k more, but I didn't make that far fetched claim about the z32. I would say, I prefer the z32 stock over the Supra. However, the Supra's engine has been known to handle 800whp on stock internals vs 600whp for the Z32 and the resale value, if you can find one, is totally off the charts (an unmolested Supra with say 30k miles on a 1994 was going for 30k plus last I checked--it's been a few years). Unfortunately, most of the high powered Supra's cost a lot more than a Z32 at similar power levels. From what I've heard, the Supra is very finicky too and the sequential turbo set up makes for huge lag and a wicked power curve with a monster turbo on them. From what I've seen and heard, the Supra is more likely to break too vs. the dependability of most high powered Z's (but I could be wrong). Anyway, I think they are both great cars, I wish I could own them both. But, given thechoice of 1 obviously, I choose the Z (it's heritage is just to far superior IMHO).
