datsun 240 from gran tourismo 2
Kind of off subject but does anyone know what the trick is to getting the datsun 240z from gran turismo 2 for the play station? I’ve tried everything and all to no avail. Thanks!
That’s the thing though. I know I only was able to see it twice and its never showed since. Do you remember what you doing before you got it?
Just keep checking back, the cars change every 15 days or so. I wanted two and thought I missed it, but around day 195 to 215 it was available again. There is also the 1971 skyline and the one from 1984. Too bad you can't turbo charge the Z though.

I was wondering which of the driving games (GT2, Ridge Racer, Need for Speed, etc.) had the 240Z on it! Now I know what the next Playstation game my son and I are going to get next. Maybe you can go to game stores like Babbages, Electronic Boutique or even Best Buy to get the game guide and sometimes you can get secret codes from them. Or even go to videogames.com.

can beat cars with a lot more horses, i think taht the used car in nissan changes every now and again, just keep checking, also pickup the skyline 71 and look at the toyotta 62 gt300, looks cool. but yeah, the 240 kicks some ass for sure, go racing modification and it goes unibody macao imitation racer.....
The 240z is there alot it seems. I got one asap and it was white. It was too bad because I wanted the Burgundy one you see all the time. It's still a pretty good car though. What I dont get is that I've seen stats in books say it's 150hp took it to sixty in around 7.5. So far I have it to 290hp and it doesn't really go much faster. I still love it though!

I'm assuming the 240 you are talking about in Gran Tourismo 2 is a Z, right? I checked out the Playstation guide at the store on my lunchbreak and saw no mention of the 240Z, only variations of the 240SX in this game. Is the Z a special car or feature that requires reaching a skill level or code before you can unlock it?

Its not a special car, it can be found in the nissan dealer, just keep checking back, youll find it eventually, trust me

There aren't any z's in GT1, BUT I just found a red one in GT2. So that means there is a white, marroon, and red! Has anyone else found this one? It's on day 233.

the parts swap area right before a race, and REWORK the gears in your trannsmission, play around with it alittle, then check the top speed on the oval ring, if you work them correctly you should get a higher top speed, or if you want quickness, then rework it til you get the disired performance, I bought a USED Mazda RX-7 TURBO for less than $10,000 as my first car, I upgradded it to MAX, then went up to the stage 2 of the wieght reduction, and left it the original color, I have to say it looks better that way with out all the ignorant names and stupid crap on a RACE CAR, I spent XXXXX amount of dollars on the Mazda, and I cant sell it outright on the game for nothing over $2550.00!!!! WHAT A RIP!! I kept it as sentamental valve, LOL. I never got the Z in the game, i didnt have enough to buy it the ONE time I ever saw it and i went back for it and it was GONE!! It was a gold one I do believe. Ahh I should play that game again sometime, when I dont work. OHHH I forgot, i ment to say what I had my top speed up to on the Mazda RX, without tinkering the gears, I had a whooping 157mph, wooieee.... when I tinkered with the gears, I POUNDED the compatition with a MIND BOGGLING 236mph!!!!! with a little Mazda... CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT THE Z HAS TO OFFER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just go buy it from Nissan. It isn't always available, but keep checking nissan to see if they have it. i got mine near the begining of the career mode. Fully modified it is a kick ass car. Gets something like 320 hp from NA tune, no turbos. One of my favorite cars in the game.
