Difference between "Touring" and "Grand Touring"?

Looking for a touring model. What's the difference between these 2? And yes I searched the posts but don't see anything.

Thanks!

I think the main difference is the word "grand"

Re: Difference between "Touring" and "Grand Touring"?

off the top of my head... I think in 06 or 07 they stopped calling it Touring and instead started calling it Grand Touring. Not sure what the difference, if any, in options are.

There are a couple people on this forum that I know will be able to answer this better than me.

Seems like from what I see that maybe the GT has the navigation as standard and the others don't?

The Grand Touring model also added features from the track model: Brembo brakes chief among them.

The grand touring is what used to be the Track model. In addition to the brembos, it also has the 18/19" Rays forged wheels, front chin spoiler, underbody diffusers and rear spoiler

Actually, the Grand Touring option is a cross between the touring and track models. The BOSE stereo and leather power seats were never in the track models, which were more Spartan in appointments.

I agree. Basically the Grand Touring is a Touring model with the wheels, tires, brakes and aero enhancements from the Track model. If Nissan had built the car from the inception of the 350Z I would have purchased a GT rather than a Touring model. Since Nissan didn't I created my own GT by adding Nismo wheels, Stoptech brakes and some areo enchancements. LOL!

Injen CAI, HKS Exhaust, Crawford Plenum, High Flow Cats, Headers and Strut Bar, Nismo Suspension, clutch, wheels, flywheel and cams
StopTech BBK, 332mm front and 328mm rear, Technosquare ECU Reflash and 350EVO 3.9 gears

Yes, it's a Touring model with the Track model components added in.
