budget questions

once i get the Z, i've got 1k set aside to fix it up to it being perfect for me short of a paintjob (its got some minor rock chips in the usual spots like center pannel bumper and hood, but overall its in great shape) anyway, i want to replace the driveshaft becuase at its milage i KNOW its ganna go on me, i want to replace the 3rd brakelight pannel becuase its cracked, its comming up on 180k so i'll just do the 120k now, and i want to do a popcharger for it just for piece of mind... think i could achieve this for under 1k?

Re: budget questions

At 180k you do the 60k service. I don't think all of it can be done for under $1000.

Re: budget questions

well figure $375 for the 120k stuff. $235 for a 1 piece driveshaft.... so you have $390 for the rest.. so no 1k isnt going to be enough..

Re: budget questions

Get up under there and give the driveshaft a good shake. You might not need it at this time. When I did my rear main seal yesterday I got a chance to check the barring and it is factory tight with 140k. You might be able to hold off on the driveshaft and use that $$$ for something that demands more immediate attention.
