The **** thing is way stuck. Any ideas on how to get it out. Is there a better fitting I can use instead of just putting a half inch drive breaker bar in there and trying to unloosen it? Ive used quite a bit of liquid wrench but to no avail.

First, try tapping it gently with a hammer and see if you can get the lubricant to penetrate, and if that doesn't work, heat your tranny up by driving it, and just get it broken loose by that. Secondly, yes, replace the 1/2 inch inverted plug with a standard pipe plug, and just loosen it with a pipe wrench in the future.

I have posted many times.

Heat the plug, not the case with a Ox/Ac torch.
Try again, if it does not come ease you did not get it hot enough.
Don't heat to the point of melting the case. A dull red is as far as
you want to go. It should come long befor that.

I like the resesed 1/2 drive plugs better, the other kind round off easer.

I have seen transmission fill and drain plugs torqued to 200 foot pounds for some god forsesaken reason. I usually coat mine with antiseize compound when reinstalling, and torque them to around 60 foot pounds. You have 2 dissimilar metals which can cause corrosion. Whatever you do, don't round out the hole for the 1/2" breaker bar. Try penetrating oil, tap the plug with a hammer and then try it.
