speedometer sticking at 70 mph 280 zx turnbo

Hi Any suggestions for assessing the problem-solutions. Any one know a good mechanic for 280zx in Calgary Canada. Many current mechanics do not respect the older car (which is in great shape)

Analog? Digital? Did it just start doing this? Has it always done this? Does it ever go back to zero or is it always on 70? Does it work fine until you get to 70? Has the car sat a long time?

You need to give us a lot more info.

If worst comes to worst, there's replacing the speedo, but then you have inaccurate odometer reading.

Yes, more specific info on the conditions and behavior may be helpful.

Garage
Sounds like a tailor-made excuse if you get pulled over for 90.
